Ripped Denim

Happy Friday! I'm excited about this outfit, because I'm wearing one of the few pairs of denim that I love. Some people think it's crazy to spend a lot of money on a pair of jeans, and I used to be one of them. Why spend hundreds of dollars on pants when you can get them at Forever 21 for $10? But let's be honest. While I love Forever 21 and how inexpensive their clothes are, [I shop there all the time and have at least 5 pairs of their $10 denim], they are inexpensive because they aren't great quality. They don't last long, and they don't really look or feel that nice. I finally took the plunge and purchased a couple pairs of nice jeans, and I am OBSESSED. I don't know what rock I have been living under, but these jeans are the best and smartest purchase I have ever made. And even with how unimpressed I am with clothes in general [I am constantly buying clothes and then selling them a few weeks later], I know that I will have these babies for a very long time.

*Tip: Head to Nordstrom Rack in order to find designer clothes and great prices. These Paige skinny jeans that I'm wearing today are normally over $200, but I scored them for $60 at Nordstrom Rack!

I have been obsessing over ripped denim lately, [especially THESE which I also just recently purchased], so I thought I'd share my current favorites at a few different price points. My favorite pair of jeans that I own are J. Brand. They are high in quality and I think definitely worth the price. You know that I'm not crazy about jeans because of my struggle with finding a pair that fits me in the right ways, but the J. Brand skinny jeans that I picked up at the ILY Fashion Market changed my mind and I'm now convinced I need them in every color and style.

I hope you have a great weekend!!

  1. I love these jeans, I wear my ripped ones all the time!

  2. I'm not a big fan of ripped jeans, but I think that's because I'm cold all the time and in the winter I wear leggings under my jeans. But those look really cute on you!

  3. Lol. Where have you been living? Under a stupid rock? Every girl should have a knowledge of this.

  4. I believe in more expensive jeans. You get what you pay for. I used to think it didn't matter, but I have learned. Those jeans look great on you! I really love ripped denim right now.

  5. This outfit is adorable! I love the jeans, shoes, necklace, it's just PERFECT!

  6. J Brands are the best - I have many pairs because they just fit right. I don't mind paying more for a pair that fits because then I will actually wear them. =)

I hope you are having a great week so far!

  7. You have a nice weekend too. I love those heels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Love those jeans! I like ripped jeans okay, but I'm very picky about which I'll get - I want the rip to be mostly decorative and relatively small, something that stands out rather than the way the jeans just are, if that makes any sense. Thanks for sharing some picks!

  9. I have this necklace and I love how you paired it with blue! And great clutch! Susan

  10. cute outfit! usually i am not a fan of wearing blue with blue denim, but this actually looks good!

  14. I completely and wholeheartedly agree about expensive denim!! I have a flat butt and find that brands like Old Navy, Forever 21, and even places like Gap and Express that sells comparably mid-price denim, leave me with saggy butt. The only jeans that keep their shape are expensive brands! I tend to search high-end consignment shops to find great deals on expensive denim as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I love your comments, and I read each and every one!
