Don't you live in Arizona?
Did you forget that August is the hottest month of the year?
Are you insane?
----
I'm sure these were the thoughts of just about everyone who saw me wearing this outfit over the weekend -- except for that cute lady at the post office who complimented me on it. Yes, I realize that it is still summer, and yes, I very much despise that fact. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm a fall/winter kind of girl. My entire wardrobe, despite what season it may be, is based around cool weather. I realize that this might seem strange, considering the fact that I've lived in Arizona for the past 14 years. [But trust me, if it were up to me, I would be living somewhere much cooler!] Alas, I did wear tights and booties in 90 degree weather, and I loved every minute of it!

Top: Forever 21 [old, love THIS one] // Skirt: Elysian Boutique // Tights: Target // Shoes: Charlotte Russe [similar] // Clutch: Clare Vivier [also HERE] // necklace: c/o Bip and Bop // Sunnies: Karen Walker Inspired via Amazon
I'm really loving the look of this skirt, and I know I will be wearing it all the time with tights and boots once fall is here. Here are a few other striped skirts that I'm loving right now! [My favorites are from Anthropologie and Mindy Mae's Market!

  11. I love those booties with those tights, it's so cute, and your top is adorable too.

I say if you're not over heated then go for it. I tend to wear out of season stuff too, because I'm always cold.

  13. I love those booties! I wish I could make myself wear autumn things despite the heat, but I can barely handle getting dressed at all. I'm not sure how people manage to wear anything besides like sundresses outside. But this outfit is lovely and I definitely feel you on having an autumn/winter-geared wardrobe despite living in a place with horrible hot summers. A/W fashion just has so much more depth!
