Long Sleeves in Summer

I have had multiple people comment on how crazy I am for wearing long sleeves in an Arizona summer. [If you look at all of my outfits HERE, you will see that I am wearing long sleeves in all but 4 outfits.] Guess what: I KNOW. Let me tell you a little bit about my closet. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that 90% of my shirts are long sleeve. [HOT.] Then about 7% of them are tank tops, which I can't wear without a cardigan anyway. [REALLY HOT.] The remaining 3% is short sleeved shirts. And guess what? I never wear them. I'm not a fan of short sleeves, and whenever I go shopping, for some reason I still buy long sleeved shirts, even when its 110 degrees outside! I don't know what's wrong with me; I guess I am just drawn to long sleeves and layers, which is definitely a problem when you live in Arizona. I'm pretty sure I'm living in the wrong part of the country, and I can not wait until H and I can move to somewhere colder. I do really well with layers and boots, so maybe we'll go somewhere snowy. [Though honestly, I really hate the snow.]

Top: Old Navy [similar] // Skirt: Forever 21 // Shoes: Target // Bag: London Fog via TJ Maxx // Sunnies: HelloFab // Bracelet: A Beautiful Heart Shop c/o

Oh and this is when I stepped backwards without looking and sunk into a pile of mud. Glad that H captured this precious moment....

My poor shoes!! Hope you all have a great day! Tomorrow's Friday! :]

  3. I have a hard time deciding how to dress in the summer because that is when grocery/ALL stores freeze you out!! So really, longer sleeves + skirt seems appropriate. :]

I did 20+ years in Utah. Believe me a few months of heat is sooooo much better than 9 months of cold! It is easy to be happy when the sun shines everyday!

  4. Um hello cutie! Such an adorable outfit and those heels!! Thanks for linking up with us :)

  5. I'm an Arizona blogger too and I feel like my closet is the same way! I think clothese are much cuter when they are long sleeved! So I guess it's just the price you pay! haha! (:

  6. You're crazy! I live in Texas and I cannot get short enough or lose enough layers! I do wish I could layer more in the summer but the heat makes it so unbearable. Your poor shoes! I hope they cleaned up okay. I did something similar with a pair of white sandals and they stained a bit. I was so upset!

  7. I am totally the same way! I always complain that the majority of my closet is sweater and cardis! Feels good to know I'm not alone! :)

  8. Oh no!! Your poor cute shoes!! Hope they cleaned up okay. You aren't crazy. I wear blazers in the summer and I live in Louisiana. Hot AND humid. Super cute look!

  9. I don't know why I always end up buying so many long sleeved tops for the summer! They are just so cute I guess! I totally understand your feelings towards long sleeves!

  10. I'm exactly the same here - when I was packing to move to NYC for the summer... I only had long sleeves. I can get away with it in Utah but, it'll be hot here. Cute style!

I am Ada by the way and I found your blog a couple of weeks ago. I already follow and love it. I hope you can visit back & I can have your support too, by following. Every Week I run a Week's Best Looks Feature, with several Favorite Outfits from the week. Stay tuned for that later this Monday because you are one of the Girls I am featuring (it is the 2nd time, I featured you 2 weeks ago, also). Here is the link to that post, below.

  12. Hola I'm Jessyca from Italy. nice blog:) I too wear long sleeves by habits but I won the hot. Dressing in the morning with a long eleven slim fit high neck t-shirt keeps my fresh temperature for all the day, even walking under the sun. I often feel more fresh than my friends with tank tops

Thank you so much for stopping by. I love your comments, and I read each and every one!
