Spring + Outfit Post

Guys, I'm finally doing it!

I'm posting my outfit of the day!

You should be excited. For real. This is my first official Outfit Post, and I'm really excited about it myself! I've been pretty sick the past couple of days, and haven't really done my hair or gotten ready, so today I decided I needed to get dressed up. Because when you look good, you feel good. So this is my comfortable, yet still dressy look. Since it's spring time, in Arizona that means temperatures of 80 degrees already. I'm not too excited about the heat, but I am excited to start wearing brighter colors again.

I bought this hat a few months ago, and I've been too nervous to wear it. It's super cute, but a big floppy hat isn't something that you wear to work everyday. Plus, H told me, "Well it's different... But I guess it's okay for an outfit post." Well. Since it's okay.

Anyway, let me know what you think, and if you want me to keep doing outfit posts or not!

So anyway, I'm so excited for Easter this week! I can't wait to decorate Easter eggs, eat a million deviled eggs [my FAVORITE] and see all of my cute nieces and nephews in their Easter outfits. Plus, H and I got back together for good last Easter, so it will always be a special holiday to us!

xoxo,

Dating vs. Marriage

Sometimes I miss the dating world.

Now don't get me wrong--I absolutely love being married. Especially to H. But sometimes I miss the secrecy of it all. The unknown. Trying to figure out if he likes you or when he's going to kiss you. Wondering if he's ever going to text you back. And even when you're dating, wondering where it's going. If you're going to marry them. With marriage there are no "what ifs." You already know that he likes you and he has to text you back because he's your husband. And you just kiss and cuddle and hold hands because that's what you do when you're married. And I love it, but I hate it. You know? It's so weird. When you're married, everything is just so monogamous. But in a good way.

Sometimes I get jealous of my single friends.

I talk to some of my single friends and everything is just so up in the air. They don't know if they're gonna stay here or move away. They don't know if they are going to marry their current boyfriend. With marriage you already know what's going to happen--at least for the most part. You get married, you have kids, you buy a house, you have more kids, etc. And even on a day to day basis, everything is basically planned out. You go to work, come home and eat ramen or rice a roni, cuddle on the couch while you watch tv, do some lovin, and go to bed. And it's great. But it's just the same thing every day. You know? It's never like, "oh who am I gonna hang out with tonight?" or "what party am I gonna hit up this weekend?" And sometimes I wish I could just travel whenever and wherever I wanted to. That I didn't have to worry about a husband saying "no, we need to save money." Sometimes I miss just being able to get crazy with my girlfriends, and have girls nights where we stay up all night talking about boys. Or going to dance parties and meeting new people. When you're single you have a certain sense of freedom. And sometimes I miss that. Because you can't really do any of that anymore. And even when I'm in my car, jamming out to the songs on the radio, I can't really relate to them anymore. Like, I'm married now T-Swift, write some songs about that!

But then again, I'm sure there are girls out there who are jealous of me and wish that they were married. So I don't mean to sound rude or like I'm not happy in my marriage. Because it's the exact opposite. I love marriage. When you're married you have a different sense of freedom, and you can do things that you couldn't when you were single. And you have your best friend by your side every single day. And you don't have to be embarrassed to say something stupid or when you aren't wearing any makeup, because you already know that they love you forever. And you can make them spoon you to sleep, even when they don't want to, because guess what? He's your husband. He has to. And you always have someone to love you, to comfort you, to check the apartment for murderers before he leaves you alone, to carry your bags up and down the stairs [or at Disneyland], and to open the doors for you. Marriage really is the best thing. Ever.

And contradicting what I said above, one of my favorite things about being married is not having to wonder. Throughout my entire relationship with H, I always wondered where we stood. We broke up and got back together so many times, that I wasn't even sure if he wanted to be with me. But now that we are married, I don't ever have to wonder again. Because he tells me and shows me how much he loves me every single day. And I can just kiss him and squeeze him and tell him how sexy he is whenever I want to. Because we're married.

So yeah, I swear that I'm not a marriage hater. I just think that there are a lot of good things to be said about both marriage and single life. So if you're single right now, don't be down on yourself. Enjoy that lifestyle while you can and get it all out of your system. Because you might just miss it. But don't let that lifestyle cause you to miss out on marriage, because to this day, marrying H is the one decision that I will never regret.

What do YOU think?

The Happiest Place on Earth

As most of you know, H and I spent the last few days at Disneyland with my family and our friends Hunter and Alissa. This vacation was at exactly the right time and place that we needed it, too! We all stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel, which was so nice, because we only had to walk across the street and through the Grand Californian Hotel to get into California Adventure and Disneyland, as opposed to our honeymoon where we had to walk almost 2 miles. [Not that 2 miles is a marathon or anything, but it was just nice to be super close!] Another perk that came with staying in one of the Disneyland Hotels was that we got the Extra Magic Hour every morning, which allowed us into the parks one hour before it opened to the public. That alone has already convinced me to stay at the Disneyland hotels in the future, because we rode California Screamin (twice), Toy Story Mania (twice), the Carousel, and one of the Cars rides! There were no lines and it was amazing! It was even better than the Fast Passes. [Or as my dad called them the entire time... Speed Passes. He's so cute.]

Anyway, the trip was perfect, and I loved going back to our Honeymoon location! We ate at the same Disneyland restaurant that we were obsessed with on our honeymoon, and I got the same delicious chocolate cake twice! I ate at least 5 churros [I'm obsessed, okay?] and it was so fun to be there with my family, and watch H interact with all of my nieces and nephews. He was literally carrying one of the two youngest girls around the entire time. They loved him!! And so do I. I had a super cute floral backpack that H carried around for most of the trip. It was adorable. I sure love that man. He does so much for me! :)

[My favorite picture of this trip!! H is so dang cute, and he's going to be the cutest daddy! I can't wait!!]

[YOLO. Our motto this trip. Only as a joke, of course. I hate when people say this! haha]

My favorite memories from this trip:

  • My two youngest nieces were obsessed with H, and every ride that we would go on, they would always shout, "I want to be Heath's partner!" It was very endearing, even though they were stealing my partner!
  • Hunter, Alissa, H and I decided to ride Splash Mountain one night right before the park was closing. It was pretty chilly outside, so there was no line for it. The first time we rode it, I was sitting in the front, with H right behind me, and we got so wet! I was completely soaked from head to toe, and H got it pretty bad too! Right after we got off, we ran back around to ride it again [still no line], but we made Hunter and Alissa sit in front. But for some reason they didn't hardly get wet! Maybe it had something to do with the weight distribution and my 200+ pound husband sitting up front! And then as if walking around soaking wet in the freezing cold wasn't enough, Alissa decided that she needed ice cream right then, so we stopped at an ice cream place [with a loooooong line] so she could get her ice cream. ;)

  • And lets not forget about the time that we went to lunch at the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland where they do silly, crowd interactive shows every hour. My cute dad is in love with these shows and convinced us to go there for lunch one day. And much to his excitement, they called him and my brother up on stage to be part of the show! It was pretty fun! [For some reason my computer isn't letting me upload the video, so check out my Facebook for a few minutes of entertainment!]

Anyway, I love Disneyland so, so much! There is a reason why they call it the Happiest Place on Earth! I can't wait to go back again. Hopefully it's soon, if H will let us. ;)

Do any of you have any fun plans for Spring Break??
